Renowned Nakuru gospel artist Faith Nduhiu has entered the race of becoming the next Nakuru County Woman Representative.
Her entry adds to the list of women who will be looking to challenge Liza Chelule who is the current legislator holding this position.
During a phone call interview with Mtaa Wangu, the gospel artist says that it is time for change in Nakuru County.
“The reason why I am very passionate and want to vie for this position is because of the youth in our county. Many people in Nakuru today are feeling hopeless and unsure of where to turn. That’s why I’m running for Women Representative to restore hope and be a champion for meaningful change,” a jovial Faith says.
She adds, “Our youth and women remain the most vulnerable in society, and my priority is to empower them with opportunities, support, and a renewed sense of purpose."
Faith further reveals that she was very devastated when the Linda Mama program was scrapped hence if elected she will work to bring something similar to that program.
Asked about her Christian faith being compromised if she enters the dirty world of politics, Faith responds, “A person can be a staunch Christian and still want to be in a position to bring change to their society. David was a Christian and was still in politics while at the same time close to God.”
As to whether she will be joining any political faction, the gospel artist says that she is still weighing her options and will announce that soon.
