The passing on of Bishop Allan Kiuna of the Jubilee Christian Church (JCC), on July 9, came with great sadness for his family, Christian faithful and many whose lives were touched by this man of God.

In celebrating the memory of Bishop Kiuna, JCC Nakuru senior Pastor Andrew Mwangi, took to his social media to reminisce about the impact Bishop Kiuna had on his life.

In the Facebook post where he shared a picture dating back to 2001, Pst. Mwangi said Bishop Kiuna had gifted him a pair of trousers during his first days in ministry.

“He gave me that trouser I was wearing in 2001. I had to reduce its waist line and length a lot to fit me,” the post reads in part.

Pst Mwangi went ahead to say that it was Bishop Kiuna who introduced him to the pulpit noting that he was intimidated then, while adding that his relationship with the late Bishop was that of a Father and son.

“Calling him a father is no cliché to me. I owe a lot to the grace of GOD in his life. 'Koma thayu awa'. Rest in glory dad, Bishop Allan Kiuna.

Pst. Mwangi who has been the face of the JCC church in the recent press briefings has never been shy of speaking about how significant Bishop Kiuna was in his personal and ministry life.

During his sermons, Pst Mwangi repeatedly shared how Bishop Kiuna and his wife Rev. Kathy Kiuna took him in while barely in his twenties and taught him the ways of the Lord.

It was this time spent as one of the Bishop’s close aides that led Pst. Mwangi to be entrusted with JCC Nakuru branch which has two sanctuaries; one near Railways station and another in Nakuru West.

Pst. Mwangi has also been open in saying that Bishop Kiuna was one of the men in his life who would chastise him, in the event that he did something that was deemed unpleasant to his wife.

In the comments, many joined him in celebrating the life of Bishop Kiuna while also passing their condolences to the family and the JCC fraternity. The comments read.

Pst Isaac Success wrote “Bishop fathered many of us near and far... And some of us don't regret calling a man of God a Father especially if they have laboured to lead us in the ways of the Lord. Context, Context, Context... @Havila,”

Faith Tonui says ,” Praying for God's comfort over you Pastor Mwangi Andrew, your family, and the entire JCC family. Through this grace, I gave my life to Christ at JCC Nakuru years back. May Bishop rest well in the arms of Jesus.”

Pst John Gichuhi wrote,” Stay strong and carry on His legacy. The grace is sufficient.”

Daphne Naila commented, “The Lord continue to comfort you Pst Andrew & Pst Cathy. Indeed, he greatly impacted your lives.”
