Three arrested after being found with bhang worth Sh 22,650 in Solai

On September 7, after receiving intelligence reports from the public, the police from Solai Police Station acted on the tip off and this led them to finding finding three individuals who were in possesion of 453 rolls of cannabis sativa worth sh. 22, 650.
Caroline Chebet, Grace Cherotich and Godfrey Nderitu were arraigned at the Nakuru law courts on September 8 where they were charged with trafficking in narcotic drugs.
The three pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Secondly they were chargee with refusal to have their fingerprints taken.
The court was told that upon their arrest they were taken to the Solai Police Station where they were charged. However, when it came to giving out their fingerprints they declined to do so.
All the three pleaded guilty to this charge.
Senior Principal Magistrate Christine Menya ordered for a probation report and said the matter will be mentioned on September 24.
