The Principal Elsheba Cheruiyot expressed pride in her students' achievements.

"Our students have done exceptionally well. Their discipline, combined with the commitment of our staff, has contributed to this success," she says.

Ms Cheruiyot attributed the excellent performance to the timely coverage of the syllabus, which allowed students ample time for revision.

"We registered 356 students for the 2024 KCSE and we are thrilled with the results. Most of our students are ready for university," says Ms Cheruiyot.

Top performer at the school Michelle Nyaribari scored an impressive A (plain) of 82 points.

"I expected to do well because the school pushed us to excel. I plan to study medicine at the University of Nairobi. It took a lot of effort to get these marks, but it was worth it," she says, beaming with excitement.

Elsewhere, Langa Langa Secondary School joined in the celebrations as their top student, Laura Ayuma, achieved an A (plain) of 81 points.

Principal Rufina Nkonge says she hopes for even better results in the coming years.

"We have seen a steady improvement. Last year we had three A (plain), contributing to the seven A's achieved by day schools nationally. This year, we're optimistic that we'll surpass our average grade of 6.5 from 421 candidates," Ms Nkonge says.

Laura Ayuma expressed gratitude describing the results she got as a dream come true.

"I always hoped for such results, although I had moments of doubt. It took determination, focus and faith in God. My goal is to become a neurosurgeon and study at Harvard University," she says.

Celebrations were also in full swing at Anestar Boys, where two students got straight A (plain) and 11 got A (minus).
