In the highly competitive match held yesterday, Naka Wazee FC dominated the first half, securing what seemed like an easy win.
However, the tide turned dramatically in the second half when Mwenge Vetos FC staged a comeback to equalize.
Mwenge kept up the pressure and found the back of the net in the 75th minute with a heavily contested goal. Naka Wazee FC vehemently protested, claiming it was offside and unjustly awarded.
The controversy nearly led to the match being abandoned as Naka Wazee FC threatened to walk off the pitch. After tense discussions, they agreed to continue, only for the first half to end within a minute.
Naka Wazee FC had taken the lead in the first half after Deng Biel skilfully broke through the defence to go one-on-one with the goalkeeper. They created several more chances but failed to convert.
The second half saw both teams elevate their intensity. However, as Naka Wazee FC made substitutions, Mwenge Vetos FC exploited gaps in the midfield.
Mwenge Vetos FC’s equalizer came from a penalty, converted by Asman Mutuko after Moses Aggrei was fouled in the box. The winning goal was scored by Ikwel Hamisi, sealing a crucial victory.
Mwenge Vetos FC Team Manager Asman Kombo emphasizes the significance of the win despite conceding first.

On the other hand, Naka Wazee FC Team Manager Simon Kimote expresses disappointment, stating that his team did not deserve to lose. He strongly contested the second goal, calling it unfair.
