Senators FC to face Old Friends FC in Wazee Cup Finals

Senators FC secured their spot in the finals of the Nakuru Wazee Super Cup with an impressive 4-1 victory over Nakuru Veteran FC in the semi-finals.
The match began with Senators FC taking an early lead, thanks to Enock Munai, who netted two quick goals. Nakuru Veteran FC's Wilson "Kuqs" Andati managed to reduce the deficit with a crucial goal, bringing the halftime score to 2-1.
In the second half, the oldest player on the pitch, Newton Omusale, calmly converted a penalty to extend the Senators' advantage.
Captain Peter Karamu then sealed the victory with a stunning long-range shot that caught the opposing goalkeeper off guard.

Reflecting on the match, Newton Omusale acknowledges the challenge of defeating a strong opponent in the semi-finals.
“Our opponents are equally strong, and earning maximum points wasn’t easy. This win demonstrates that our strategy worked,” he says.
Nakuru Veteran FC captain Patrick Mwai describes the game as a learning experience.
“We started strong, but it was a game of opportunities. Our opponents capitalized on theirs, while we failed to convert ours,” he explains.
Mwai also highlights the game as a networking opportunity, noting that many players are professionals from diverse fields.
The Nakuru Wazee Super Cup, featuring 16 teams, aims to keep clubs engaged ahead of the Nakuru Wazee Premier League, which kicks off in January.
Matches are played for two hours with no substitution limits, ensuring all players get a chance to participate.
In the other semi-final match played in Nakuru West Sub county, Old Friends FC defeated Gilgil Legends FC 3-1 to book their place in the finals.
