Nakuru residents are in for a vibrant and activity-filled weekend, with worship, adventure, entertainment, and networking events lined up across the city. Leading the calendar is the much-anticipated Glow Ladies Conference, an event that has steadily grown into one of the county’s most influential women fellowships.

Celebrating its fourth anniversary this year, the Glow Ladies Ministry conference is expected to bring together girls and women from different walks of life for a weekend of worship, empowerment, and fellowship at Trinity Chapel Nakuru, opposite KMTC. The conference begins Friday evening and continues on Saturday morning under the theme “We Suit Up.”

Over the last four years, Glow has grown beyond an ordinary fellowship gathering into a movement that seeks to empower women spiritually, emotionally, and socially. What started as a small ministry has now attracted hundreds of women from across Nakuru and neighboring counties.

Centered around different themes every month, Glow has been holding regular meetings at Trinity Chapel in Milimani, while also taking some editions on the road through tours and fellowship sessions in different locations. Organizers say the platform has created a safe and uplifting environment where women can connect, worship, and encourage one another through life’s different seasons.

Hosting the event Pastor Chero will be welcoming several speakers including Rev. George Macharia, Rev. Pitson, Pastor Christian Lwanda, Rev. Simon Mbevi, and Pastor Charles Onyango, to mark this year’s anniversary.

Also featuring this weekend, adventure lovers are also expected to have their share of excitement this Sunday as Super Adventure Safaris hosts a trip to Equator Green Gardens and Resort on Sunday, May 10.

The outdoor experience will feature ziplining, high rope challenges, swimming, team building activities, photography sessions, and visits to the Equator viewpoint. The events package includes transport, lunch, and activities, at the cost of sh 2,450 per person.

Movie lovers will also not be left behind. Westside Flicks in collaboration with Philomath Hub will host a Rooftop Screening event on Friday afternoon at the Baraza Media lab. The screening features the film “Rooftop,” and promises an intimate cinematic experience.

Organizers say the event aims to promote local film culture while creating more spaces for young creatives in Nakuru to connect and showcase talent.

Getting rights in live recording, The Bounce will be hosting music lovers for its Caribbean live recording edition on Saturday at the K Fitness heat pool, adjacent to the Nakuru showground.

Themed beach wear, top Djs including Dj Milan, DJ Big Star, DJ Bryce, DJ Sirme will be on the deck to ensure the crowd is entertained.

This fun packed weekend once again highlights Nakuru’s growing social and cultural scene, with the city continuing to position itself as an entertainment hub.
