Events happening in Nakuru this weekend.
Nakuru is gearing up for a vibrant, activity-packed weekend, with music, culture, sports and nightlife lighting up the city from Friday to Monday.
The fun starts on Friday with the Kalenjin Heritage Festival at Kunste Hotel Grounds. This event celebrates the region's rich culture and artistry, showcasing some of the biggest names in local music, including Patoto Pa Sweetstar, Kielele Jazz, Pokot Boy Mantariba, Micah Maritim and many more.
The festival promises a colourful mix of traditional performances and contemporary sounds, starting at 2 pm and continuing late into the night.
For a more relaxed vibe, head to Kijani Kafe in the evening for Tipsy Talks, a free discussion session featuring Vincent Tanui speaking on 'How Government Funding Works – Policy and the Price Tag'.
This event runs from 7:30pm to 9pm and offers happy hour deals, blending thoughtful conversation with a relaxed social atmosphere.
On Saturday, all roads lead to TopCliff Lodge near Free Area for the NaXHouse 3^(rd) Anniversary Halloween Party.
Widely regarded as one of Nakuru’s signature events, NaXHouse continues to set the pace for urban entertainment in the region.
This year's event promises an exciting Halloween-themed celebration with performances by renowned artists such as MGM, Mayakaze, Mura, Domino One, Hunta KE, Giggx the Entertainer and Wandat.
The party starts at 2pm and goes on until late, with advance tickets costing Sh1,000 and tickets bought at the gate costing Sh1,500.
Ahead of the Mashujaa Day celebrations, sportsmen and women in Nakuru will be holding their own Mashujaa weekend tournaments.
The Mashujaa Charity Shield Tournament will tee off at the Nakuru Golf Club on Saturday, attracting golfers from across the region to support charity initiatives.
Meanwhile, the Safari Tour Nakuru Match Play Three darts event will be held at the Lions Club on October 18 and 19, promising intense competition and camaraderie among players.
