Thirty seven students receiving treatment after bus travelling from Nairobi to Bondo crashes in Mau Summit
An overturned Ena bus that was involved in an accident in Mau Summit, Kuresoi North.
Thirty-seven students are receiving treatment at Londiani sub-county hospital after the bus they were travelling in crashed at Mau Summit, Kuresoi North.
According to Kuresoi North police commander Judah Gathenge, the Scania bus belonging to Ena Coach Company was carrying passengers from Nairobi to Bondo-usenge in Siaya County.

The 37 students from sixteen different schools were returning to school after the mid-term break.
The bus was also carrying 14 other passengers and five children. According to the police commander, one person was seriously injured and taken to Kericho Referral Hospital.
"We have started an investigation to understand the cause of the accident. All the other passengers are in a stable condition, no fatalities, just shock. The Red Cross staff together with the doctors are consulting the students to reassure them that they are fine," said Kuresoi North Police Commander Judah Gathenge.
No deaths have been reported as a result of the accident.
The crash is taking place a few days after 52 people died in a road crash at Londiani junction on the Nakuru-Kericho highway.
The horrific accident occurred when a truck travelling from Nakuru to Kericho lost control and rammed into several matatus, private vehicles and motorcycles before landing in a ditch.
Hawkers selling their wares at the Muhoroni turn-off were not spared in the late-night accident, which left families, relatives and friends of the deceased in a sombre mood.

Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, speaking after visiting the scene of the accident, said the government is working on a plan to relocate roadside markets.
"We are ready as a ministry to provide access roads to the markets, entry and exit routes to the market so that people who come to buy produce can go in and avoid such disasters," CS Murkomen said.
