Reviving Jubilee: How Dr Fred Matiangi plans to rekindle Jubilee party spark in Nakuru

The opening of two Jubilee party offices in Nakuru signified the reignition of the party in Nakuru county after being dormant since the 2022 elections.
The visit by the deputy party leader, Dr Fred Matiangi reaffirmed their position in the county as a reckoning force.
The visit started from the newly launched Jubilee Party County offices at Section 58, to Kaptembwo before culminating at the Pinkam roundabout with a rally that was painted in red.
Supporters say this was a reminiscence of the time when the party was officially launched at the Afraha stadium in 2013 ahead of the elections that year.
During this period, the dominance of the party was felt all over the county and the end results at the end was the party scooping most of the seats in Nakuru.
Matiangi reaffirmed his commitment to return the party to its dominant position in the county and country at large.
He indicated the plans to open offices in all the sub counties in Nakuru in a bid to grow their numbers and make their party popular.
“We are planning to open offices in other sub counties to make the party popular in the grassroot levels so that we recruit more members,” he says.

During the rally the Jubilee Presidential candidate, stated the importance of Nakuru in the face of national politics.
“Nakuru is a representation of the whole country and therefore it is very important that we as a party have a strong base in this region,” he says.
Over the past few months, the Democratic Citizen’s Party (DCP) party members have continuously made their visits to Nakuru in a bid to wow and control the voters rich county.
The DCP party is also planning a tour of the county on 27-28 February, as a means of also recruiting and popularizing the party.
During the meeting at the Milimani offices a very high number of aspirants announced their intentions of vying for various elective seats.
The high number of candidates from various regions also proved to show that Jubilee is still a key player in the county’s politics.
The deputy party leader promised to hold free and fair nominations that will enable them to come up with suitable candidates.
