Revealed: Slain PCEA Tabuga Reverend Julius Ndumia died of strangulation
Bahati MP Irene Njoki signs condolence book at PCEA Tabuga parish as she joins family and friends to mourn the death of Rev. Julia Ndumia.
The postmortem examination conducted on the body of PCEA Tabuga church Rev. Julia Ndumia has revealed that he died due to Asphyxia (a condition caused by severe oxygen deprivation).
Rev. Ndumia’s lifeless body was found at his residence within the church premises in a pool of blood on Monday morning.
The postmortem was conducted by government pathologist Titus Ngulungu at the Umash funeral home in presence of the family, Director of the Homicide Martin Nyugutu.
According to the Dr, Ngulungu the deceased had injuries on the neck where he noted pressure points that pointed to strangulation and injuries at the back of the head causing a fracture on the skull making the brain shake violently.
Dr Ngulungu notes that the injury caused blunt trauma to the head and blood loss.
"As a result of my examination, I have formed the opinion that the cause of death was lack of oxygen due compression to the neck," says Dr Ngulungu.
In an interview family representative and brother -in -law to the deceased Francis Mwangi called for justice describing Ndumia as kind and loveable a person who was considerate to all.
" We are satisfied with the results after the postmortems. As a family what we want now is just for our kin," says Mwangi

On the other hand, Nakuru County Referral and Teaching hospital medical superintendent Dr. James Waweru noted that the security guard who had been brought in for treatment after being attacked at the church was discharged from hospital on Wednesday.
On a phone call interview, Nakuru County Criminal investigation officer Samuel Ngeiywo, says following his discharge the security guard has been put under witness protection.
" The guard recorded his statement on Tuesday at the hospital and the case now is being handled by Homicide detectives from DCI headquarters. As a key witness to the case the guard is under our custody for protection," says Ngeiywo.
A detective familiar with the probe said that they have since retrieved CCTV footage from cameras installed within the church compound, which is now being analyzed by forensic experts as investigators seek to establish the circumstances surrounding the killing and identify those behind the attack.
Joining family members and congregants at PCEA Tabuga today, Bahati MP Irene Njoki condoled the Tabuga fraternity assuring them that justice will be served for the family.
"I have been in communication with the Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen who has assured me that all security agencies that can support this investigation will be available until the family gets justice,” she says.
