Nakuru police confirm man in viral video was fatally ran over by truck

A chilling dashboard camera recording from Monday morning has gone viral after it captured the final moments of a man who was fatally run over by an oncoming truck.
The man lay frantically on the road in a press-up position.
In the video, which has been circulating widely on social media, the unidentified man is seen positioned in the middle of the roadway as vehicles approach.
A motorist driving behind the truck can be seen swerving in a desperate attempt to avoid him, but the truck, unable to brake in time, runs over the man.
The impact brings the dramatic footage to an abrupt and tragic end.
According to a reliable officer from the Traffic Department, the man’s family has since come forward, positively identifying him and enabling authorities to proceed with a post-mortem examination.
“More details will emerge as investigations continue and witnesses record their statements. The truck driver has already provided his account of the incident,” the officer notes.
Preliminary findings suggest the incident was a suicide, occurring early morning near the Mache area.
Police are now piecing together the man’s final movements as they work to establish what may have led to the heart-breaking decision.
