Moi Primary School - Kabarak unsatisfied with KCPE results appeals to KNEC for review
When people talk about academic giants in Nakuru, one name always comes to mind: Moi Primary School-Kabarak.
The school has a history of impressive results, but this year's Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results seem to have shocked parents and teachers alike.
The jubilation and cheerful scenes that usually engulf the school were absent this time and there was little activity on the ground, an indication that the school had not performed as well as usual.

The school administration has remained tight-lipped about the results, with the only communication being an internal memo to parents stating that they have received the 2023 KCPE results.
However, the school is not satisfied with the results as they do not reflect the ability of the learners on merit.
"We have therefore appealed to the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) to review the same and hope that they will look into the matter and act swiftly," said Nelson Kiptoo, head teacher of Moi Primary School.
In 2022, the school was one of the top performing schools in the county.
In the Daily Nation's analysis of top performers in the Rift Valley, Moi Primary School-Kabarak was conspicuously missing.
Leaving many to wonder what has happened to this academic giant that is known to put Nakuru on the map as an educational hub.
Emmaculate Waceke of Gilgil Hills Academy is the top student in Nakuru County and among the second best in the country with 427 marks.
