It has been four weeks since Eunice Njeri set eyes on her 11-year-old boy who went missing.

On September 14, Vidic Ibrahim was playing with his friends at Lakeview, Bondeni as they always do on Saturdays.

Seeing that it was getting late and the weather was becoming chilly, Njeri says she sent one of his friends to call Ibrahim back into the house.

“You can be able to access our apartment from two sides. So when I talked to the friend, he told me that they had decided to race with Ibrahim to see who would be the first to get home. His friend came back first and so I waited a few minutes, but Ibrahim never showed up.” she narrates.

The mother of three adds, "At around 7:30, I started getting worried. With the help of my neighbours we searched for him into the wee hours of the night, but to no avail. On Sunday, the search continued but we did not find him.”

Njeri says she reported the matter to Bondeni Police Station and every day since then, she wakes up early in the morning to go and see whether she will find her child hanging out with the street families.

Every day, she prays that her child finds his way home unharmed.

"He was last seen in a brown kitenge shirt that had blue stripes at the front paired with blue jeans," Njeri notes.

Overwhelmed by emotions, Njeri describes her child as one who is kind at heart and disciplined.

“He loves playing football and he also trains in martial arts during his free time. He is not one to wander off without letting me know where he has gone to. My plea is for anyone with any information pertaining to his whereabouts to kindly reach out to us on 0720838259, 0721554442 or 0722586886,” she says.
