Police in Molo are searching for a 22-year-old man who allegedly killed his uncle. Peter Moseti is said to have fled after committing the crime.

According to Kuresoi North sub-county police commander Judah Gathenge, the deceased (Dominic Makori) was hit on the head with a wooden stick. He was rushed to Nakuru PGH referral hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Mr Makori reportedly arrived at Tegat village in Mau Summit in Molo, Nakuru County from his home in Kisii.

He had returned from visiting his other family members before he met his fate later that day when his nephew attacked him.

His assailant called him out of the house and hit him on the head. The matter was reported to the Mau Summit Police Station by the father of the deceased.

"It is true that the incident happened. Samuel Odero, aged 74, the father of the deceased, is the one who came to report his 22-year-old grandson. As soon as the Moseti knew that he had been reported, he disappeared. Mtu aneza jificha lakini haezi jificha Sana .... You can hide, but not for too long, we will find him," Mr Judah Gethenge said.

Mr Gethenge is optimistic that his arrest is inevitable as they have all his details.

A thorough investigation will then be launched to determine what led to the altercation after his arrest, as the reason for the attack has not yet been established.
