Man stabbed to death in suspected love triangle

A female student was robbed and stabbed in campus hostels.
Police in Nakuru West sub county are probing an incident where a middle-age man was on Wednesday morning murdered in what is suspected to be as a result of a love triangle.
The incident happened at wee hours of Wednesday when the man of the house returned without the knowledge of his wife who had invited a boyfriend for a love moment while the husband was away.
Confirming the incident, Nakuru West Sub County Police Commander Edwin Ogware said the deceased is likely to have died from the injuries sustained from kitchen knife stabs by the man of the house who is at large.
According to Mr Ongware, the man of the house who had tricked the wife that he had travelled, had been spying on her after he received some information that she was involved in infidelity incidents.
He adds that the husband caught the two in the wee hours of Wednesday and stabbed the man but did not cause any harm to the wife.
The deceased is said to have tried to run away but ended up succumbing to the knife wounds that had caused excess bleeding. He fell beside the road and died.
Upon receiving the report, police rushed to the scene and arrested the wife.
The accused is still at large.
The wife, according to police, will help in the ongoing investigation that will lead to the arrest of the suspect.
However, police say they have his details adding that the manhunt is on so that the law can take its course.
“There was a report that was made concerning the love triangle. We think the husband was spying on them without their knowledge,” said Mr Ongware.
Mr. Ogware who felt it not prudent to disclose the name of the accused(husband) due to the ongoing probe, said once arrested, the man will face the law.
