Journalist shot by police during anti-government protests in Nakuru

Nakuru based mediamax Journalist ,Catherine Wanjeri, is currently receiving treatment at Valley hospital after she was shot by police officers while covering anti-government protest.

Wanjeri was shot thrice on her leg outside Faulu bank along Kenyatta Avenue on Tuesday afternoon.

She was among a group of journalists covering the protests that had escalated into police having running battles with protesters.

Mtaa Wangu can independently report that the police who were inside a speeding police vehicle fired directly at the journalists, forcing them to scamper for safety.
