Have you seen them? Lanet siblings go missing in church

Six year old Blessing Wangui and her younger brother Sammy Lewis 3, from Lanet who went missing on August 31,2025.
The family of Blessing Wangui, 6, and her younger brother Sammy Lewis 3, are a worried lot after the siblings went missing on Sunday August 31.
The duo left their Lanet home at 10 am for Rapha Gospel Church in the company of their siblings 16-year-old, Teresia Wambui and 11-year-old Faith Kanini.
“When they got to church, Blessing and Sammy went to play with their friends. At around 3:30 pm, Faith went to look for them so they can come home but she didn’t find them,” Maureen Kanini their aunt narrates.
A frantic search ensued soon after but it did not bear fruit.
“That Sunday I was in the city center working, when I received the call from Teresia. I left work and rushed to the church. We searched for them the whole afternoon until evening but we did not find them. The following day we went and made a report at the Lanet Police Station,” Kanini states.
“I live with the children in Lanet and their mother, Sarah Wairimu is in Nairobi working, but she comes to visit the children every so often,” she says.
Maureen says that Blessing was dressed in a black dress and a red T-shirt and white shoes. Sammy Lewis was dressed in white shorts, white T-shirt and a black stripes and black crocs.
“If anyone sees them kindly, reach out to us on 0741583022/0788041582 or report to the nearest police station,” she says.
*The children were later found on September 3 at around 11am in Lanet's sub chief office.
