Gachagua takes fight to Kihika’s doorstep, Lee reacts

The United Opposition brigade finally made their entry into Nakuru city. They brought the town to a standstill as thousands of supporters arrived to see and listen from them.
The group comprising of DCP party leader, Rigathi Gachagua, Jubilee Deputy Party leader Fred Matiangi, Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka Martha Karua, Justin Muturi began their two-day tour of the region today starting in Maai Mahiu, Naivasha, Gilgil and Nakuru city.
From the onset the group were received by cheers and jeers from the crowd that was eager to see on them.
Rigathi Gachagua acknowledge the fact that Nakuru is the epicenter of national politics and when Nakuru decided, Kenya has decided.
“In Nakuru we have all the tribes in Kenya and all-important political decisions are made in Nakuru, therefore when Nakuru decides it one term then indeed it is,” he notes.
He also took jabs at Susan Kihika whom he has been quarreling with for the better part of this month, he blamed her over the closure of Nakuru War Memorial Hospital and overall poor governance in Nakuru County.
He alleges that the Governor is utilizing public funds for her own use.
“I want to urge the people of Nakuru, not to elect Susan Kihika for a second term,” he said.
Other leaders also echoed the sentiments of the Former Deputy President and also blamed the National and County leadership for the dilapidated state of the county.
This is the first time since the inception of the United Opposition that the principles have visited the county.,
DCP have time and again made their way to Naivasha and Subukia, however they were met hostilities that disrupted their rallies.
Gachagua rally at the city center was a message to the Governor whom he accused of never wanting him to come to Nakuru.
“Hapa ni wapi, wewe Susan?” he said.
However following his visit, the Former Governor, Lee Kinyanjui took to social media top criticize the DCP party leader tour in Nakuru County.
“While we uphold the right t divergence in opinion, it is unfortunate that such space has been hijacked by hate mongers,” he stated through a Facebook post.
“You should not expect to recruit blind followers in your quest to settle personal grudges and revenge. Fight your wars, Kenya is greater than you,” he says.
He concludes by saying that that Kenya will move further with less of such leaders.
