County Assembly announces public participation dates across Nakuru county

An official notice has been issued by the County Assembly of Nakuru inviting residents to a public consultative forum in all wards in the 11 sub-counties from Tuesday, May 20 to Friday, May 23.

This initiative by the Budget and Appropriations Committee is part of the assembly’s effort to prepare its budget estimates for the Financial Year 2025/2026.

The public participation sessions are set to take place in various sub-counties on different dates.

On May 20, the public participation sessions were held in Naivasha at the Town Hall, in Kuresoi South at the Olengoruone sub-county Offices, and in Subukia at the NYS Grounds.

On Wednesday, May 21, the sessions were conducted in Kuresoi North sub-county at the CDF Grounds, Sirikwa, Bahati sub-county at Kiamaina Offices, and Gilgil at the CDF Grounds.

The remaining sessions will take place on Thursday, May 22, at Nakuru Town West (Shabab Ground), Molo at Molo Town Hall, and Nakuru East at Menengai Social Hall.

Njoro Subcounty at Home Craft, with the final session scheduled for Friday, May 23, at Rongai Subcounty, Kampi ya Moto.

The sessions are set to start at 10:00 a.m. daily for the said period.

The assembly also invites the public to submit written memoranda to the clerk through their post office box or email before May 19.
