County announces public participation date ahead of Annual development plan

The Department of Finance and Economic Planning has announced a series of public consultative forums scheduled for August 12, in the preparation of the Annual Development Plan for the 2026/2027 financial year.
The forums, which are expected to begin at 9.00 am across various sub-counties, are expected to engage citizen participation in the budget-making process.
They will provide an opportunity for the public to discuss proposed projects for implementation during the 2026/2027 financial year, review the allocation and sources of funding, and give feedback on priorities under the second Kenya Devolution Support Programme.
The meetings will be held simultaneously at the Old Town Hall in Nakuru East, Shabab Social Hall in Nakuru West, Bahati CDF Hall in Bahati, Rongai Sub County Offices in Rongai, Molo Social Hall in Molo, Naivasha Sub County Grounds in Naivasha, Njoro Homecraft in Njoro, Kuresoi North Sub County Offices in Kuresoi North, and Kuresoi South Sub County Grounds in Kuresoi South.
The county government is calling on residents, organized groups, professionals, development partners, and investors to attend and share their views, which will be considered in shaping the priorities for the County Integrated Development Plan for 2023–2027.
