A cargo train stalled along the KFA crossing point today morning at around 11 am bringing traffic to a halt.

Those with motor bikes tried  to pass through the bushes in a bid to bypass the train, putting their lives and those of their passengers at risk as the terrain in the bushes was uneven.

Motorists and pedestrians plying the KFA route to get to and from the city centre were stuck for about half an hour as the engineers tried to set the train back in motion.

This disruption caused a fast build up of traffic all along the highway up to the Statehouse stretch forcing vehicles coming in from Nairobi-Nakuru highway to use the Section 58 route as an alternative.

Luckily, before more traffic built up on the section 58 route, the engineers were able to revive the train, bringing traffic in Nakuru city back to normalcy.
