Areas that will experience power interruptions today in Nakuru

Kenya power yesterday announced scheduled power interruptions on their social media pages in nine counties including Nakuru county.
This comes a month after Kenya Power took to its social media pages on December 5,2023 to announce that some areas in Kenya were set to experience power interruptions on December 6 last year.
Nakuru residents living in Free Area, Naka, Kisulisuli, SEC 58, Bedi, Central Bank, Baharini Borehole, Kwa Murogi, Kabachia, Lions, Ebony, Kingdom Seekers, Bargain, Nursing Home, Baraka Nursing Home, Mau View, Mama Ngina Pri School, Christ the King are expected to have power interruptions.
The mentioned areas will be affected from 8:00 AM to 4:00PM as stated by Kenya Power.
Below their post are concerned citizens who have not received the notice in a good way as they have raised worries about the potential impact on essential services.
One comment says “ mrudishe stima ama mzime kabisa, mtatuchomea vitu, on and off.”
According to Kenya Power, the Scheduled Power interruption is necessary for essential maintenance work on their power infrastructure, to ensure a more stable and efficient power supply.
