A look at some of the winning stands at the ongoing Nakuru agricultural show

Some of the awards that the GDC stand got at the Nakuru ASK grounds on July 2,2025.
The Nakuru Agricultural show is her and with it comes the battle of the stands.Exhibitors enroll in a competition to see whose stand is better than the other.
As you go around the show, you must have seen some stands with metallic labels written 1,2 or 3.
Well this year, the stand that best interpreted the current show theme was the Government Stand, with Kenya Ports Authority taking the top spot.
In the Education and Research category, Kabarak University led the way, while Kenya Seed Company Ltd emerged top in the Agricultural-Based category.
Grass International took first place in the Non-Agro Based category, and KCB was recognized as the leading Financial Industry stand.
Kenya Ports Authority was also awarded the Best Large Trade Stand (Commercial and Industrial), while the National Cereals and Produce Board took the top position for the Best Medium Trade Stand.
Defwes Self-Service Shop on the other hand led in the Best Small Trade Stand category.
In the category for the Best Local Stand in Strategies of International Trade and Export, Kenya Bureau of Standards took the lead. The Kenya Prison Service emerged as the Best National Government Ministry Stand.
At the same time, Kephis was awarded the Best Regulatory Authority and Corporation Stand, and Kenya Bureau of Standards topped the Best Non-Agricultural Based Statutory Board Stand. Kalro Njoro was recognized as the Best Agricultural Based Statutory Board Stand.
For the Most Striking Display of locally manufactured products, Kenya Tea Development Agency won and also took first place in the Best Local Manufacturers Stand (Consumable) as Kenya Seed Company Ltd was awarded the Best Local Manufacturers Stand (Non-Consumable).
In the financial institutions category, Cooperative Bank took the top spot for Best Bank Stand, while Boresha DT Sacco was named the Best Financial Institution Other Than a Bank. Premier Credit led in the Best Micro Financial Institution category. Taifa DT Sacco was recognized for the Best Cooperative Movement Stand.
In education institutions, Egerton University emerged as the Best University Stand, and Rift Valley National Polytechnic was awarded Best Tertiary Level Education Institution Stand (Other than University).
In Research and Development (Educational), Egerton University took the top position, while Kalro Njoro led the Non-Educational category.
Kabarak University was recognized for having the Best Innovation and Invention Stand.
The show will conclude on Sunday 6th July.
