Zimbabwe Goshawks land in Nakuru ahead of Saturday's match

All is set for the great 10-Aside rugby tournament and Currie Cup match with the arrival of the Zimbabwe team early last night. 

The Zimbabwe Goshawks team is set to face Kenya Simbas team in what is anticipated to be a highly competitive match.

The team held a training session for the better part of today at Nakuru Athletics Club (NAC) as they await tomorrow.

Speaking to Mtaa Wangu the team manager Mr. Takunda Chifokoyo says that the team have been training well and they believe they are well equipped and are equal to the task. 

The matches will start at exactly 9 am with various teams facing off for the 10-Aside tournament. At around 4 pm the Currie Cup match between Kenya and Zimbabwe will begin.

The games will go up to Sunday where the Champion of the great 10-Aside will be crowned.

Nakuru East Sub-County police commander Martin Wekesa noted that business will run as usual within Nakuru’s Central Business District and that no roads will be closed in town.


He however added that security patrol officers will be posted in town and at the NAC to ensure that security have been upheld.
