Nakuru's Elizabeth Muteshi makes it to national football team

Elizabeth Muteshi plays for Nakuru city queens football team.
Nakuru City Queens Top scorer Elizabeth Muteshi has been named in the Rising Starlets Provisional Squad for 2024 FIFA Under 20 Qualifiers.
The naming of Muteshi who plays number 8 or 10 for Nakuru City Queens into the national team is a great milestone for the Nakuru City Queens and has elevated Nakuru to the next level.
“I am optimistic as a squad we shall do all that we can to help Kenya qualify,” said Muteshi.
It should be noted that Mtaa Wangu has on many occasions highlighted the plight of Nakuru City Queens especially in the club house where the team members reside.
However, despite the many challenges, the naming of Muteshi into the national 2024 FIFA Under 20 Qualifiers, gives a new chapter to the team.
Bernard Esitoko who is the Founder of Nakuru City Queens FC has welcomed the move citing it a major milestone to the team that has always had weak financial muscles.
Through a phone interview, he says Elizabeth has great talent in matters of football and he is optimistic that she will make her team, Nakuru and Kenya proud.
“We are happy that our girl is making it to the national team. This is a motivation to the other team members,” he said.
Rising Starlets will face Angola in the second qualification round slated for 8th October,2023 in Nairobi and 14th October,2023 away in Angola.
The 30 players summoned joined the camp on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
The squad will be under Coach Beldine Ouma.
