After a long wait, there is now some hope in the horizon in regards to the completion of Nakuru's Afraha stadium.

The project which started on April 30, 2021 was supposed to be completed within 18 months at a cost of Sh 651 million, but a consistent delay has seen its cost rise to Sh 683 million.

Currently, landscaping in the field has been done while laying of the running track is ongoing.

According to Nakuru city manager Gitau Thabanja, the stadium will now be completed before March, it being the final stage of Afraha phase one.
