What to wear when partying in Nakuru's cold without giving Sunday school vibes

The rain is here and the hot and dusty Nakuru that a number of us were accustomed to is now filled with baridi.

Does that mean putting a stop to partying and drinking indoors instead? Absolutely Not!

So what exactly is a girl to wear when going out without giving Sunday school vibes? No shade to those that wear stockings to the club; which you definitely shouldn't do.

This self-appointed queen of sherehe is back to give you DOs and DON'Ts while picking outfits for your next outing.

The first clothing item on my list of DON'Ts is promo t-shirts.

I'm all for wearing whatever you want, but, please return those seng'enge ni ng'ombe tshirts back to your wardrobes or at least wear those when running to the kiosk to grab a mara moja when your hangy is trying to end you.

Instead, DO wear a cute top underneath your hoodie or trench coat for when the ‘pombe ni jacket’ feels take over.

Secondly, DON'T wear your peep toe heels, open shoes or strap sandal heels.

I mean, kuna matope mob outside and the last thing you'd want to do is to keep wiping mud off your legs instead of kupiga sherehe

DO pair your miniskirts/dresses with closed toe shoes such as cute sneakers or boots. If your legs easily get cold, I'd advise pairing your mini with thigh high boots.

DON'T freeze and shine mamii all in the name of sherehe.

I know we say drip is forever, but your health should definitely come first. When planning a fit, choose to show either upper body or lower body.

If you plan on doing a cute crop, pair that with leggings or jeans. Pair your sexy mini with a warm top. Or, do a maxi skirt or dress with a high slit paired with a cute cropped sweater, jacket or coat.

Lastly, ditch pulling up to the club in a nduthi.

On top of a high chance of kunyeshewa, you'll be freezing and the rain may wash away your face beat in the process.

Instead, splurge a little on a cab. You can carry along your girlfriends or squad and cost share the fare.

As you dress cute and warm don't forget your man.

Be sure to dress him in the 'Subaru boys' half puffer jackets so that we can admire his arms. After all, kuangalia ni bure.

Jokes aside, remember to stay warm and drink responsibly.
