Weekend showdown: All roads lead to Jacaranda grounds for Nakuru Darts League tournament

Nakuru is gearing up for a lively and exciting weekend. At the centre of it all is the highly expected Nakuru Darts League 2026, scheduled for Saturday, April 25, at the Jacaranda Sports Club.
The darts tournament, organized under the KDA Nakuru banner and powered by FutureBrand254, is expected to bring together some of the region’s most competitive clubs, marking a major milestone for the sport’s growing popularity in the county.
Teams from Starehe Club, Kirima Club, Chambers Club, Njoro Club, Menengai Club, Summit Club, Jacaranda Beta, Subukia Club, Geothermal Club, Club 5, Jacaranda Alpha, Ndosh Club, Luxurious Club, and Royal Springs will battle it out in what promises to be a thrilling showcase of precision, focus, and strategy.
With matches kicking off from 10 am, the event is expected to attract a lively crowd, with fans eager to witness top-tier competition. For darts enthusiasts, Saturday stands out as a crucial day for the sport in Nakuru.
Beyond the dartboards, the weekend’s lineup also features a diverse mix of events catering to different interests.
The Women’s Gathering hosted by Malkah Generation Global will take place at the Legacy Hotel under the theme “Crowned and Healing.”
The event is anticipated to bring together ladies from different backgrounds for a day of motivation, reflection, and connection. With notable speakers and ministers lined up including Pastor Chero founder of Glow Ladies Ministry, Esther Kamande , Josephine Kigundu among others, the event will create a powerful space focused on healing, growth, and purpose.
Art lovers will also enjoy a Focus Theatres Production staged spoken word poetry show “Her Lullaby” at Nakuru Town Hall on April 25, at 4 pm, promising an emotional storytelling, exploring themes that resonate with everyday life.
Meanwhile, sports fans will be treated to a high-stakes rugby clash as Menengai Oilers II face off against Nondies II in the ESS Semi-Final at the Refinery Grounds. The road to Ess Finals match will be Kicking off at 2 pm on Saturday, with both sides fighting for a place in the finals. Rugby fans can expect a display of skill, physicality, and passion while players will get great support from their fans on the sidelines.
On Sunday, April 26, the focus shifts to outdoor leisure and social group experience. The Nakuru Mums Hangout will travel to Sirville Adventure Park to engage in activities such as ziplining, sky biking, swimming, and team building, creating a fun and engaging environment for participants.
Picnic lovers can also enjoy “Vibe & Views Picnic Edition” at Hyrax Hill which provides a more relaxed option, inviting people to enjoy scenic views, fresh air, and a laid-back social atmosphere.
