This weekend, Nakuru is shaking off the weekday blues and diving headfirst into a triple-threat weekend of pure, unfiltered good vibes.

If you're still figuring out where the magic's happening, let Mtaa Wangu save you from the FOMO (Fear of Missing Out).

Picture this, the sun is high, the music is louder, and the options? Absolutely stacked.

Whether you are in the mood to lounge on a shuka with popcorn in one hand and acoustic melodies in the other, or you are ready to stomp the grass into submission with amapiano beats, the town has something for every flavour of fun.

Early birds can kick things off at Hidden Gem in Kiamunyi on Saturday, where the Acoustic Live and Movie Night is turning your regular picnic into a full-blown sensory experience.

We are talking live acoustic sets, a massive outdoor movie screen under the stars, and bless their kind hearts, free popcorn.

They have even arranged free transport from Nakuru CBD, so there’s really no excuse.

Throw on a Maasai shuka, grab some board games, and settle in for a laid-back vibe with a cultural twist that stretches from noon till the last star fades.

If your soul beats to the rhythm of bass drops and your group chat screams “shenanigans,” you might want to redirect your energy to Ngata Farm for Park and Chill.

From 12 to 8 PM on Saturday, it’s a full-on vibe with live performances from Eddy 254, Tatiana, and Dezina. The music menu includes amapiano, oontz, and smooth RnB, basically a buffet for your dancing feet.

Expect bonfires, interactive games, and open-air camping (BYO tent), making this the perfect outing for adventurous hearts.

Maybe you are more about smooth grooves and cocktail sophistication. Cue R&B Rewind at The Ole-Ken Hotel.

Starting at 5 PM, DJ Reignherd will be spinning soul-soothing tracks while host Jasmine sets the mood. Come dressed in your finest “shades of brown” and enjoy a sunset cocktail hour.

That said, the party many were counting down to, Nax4Sary 4th Anniversary Amapiano Tour, has officially been postponed. Originally scheduled for June 7th, organizers announced the event has been pushed to August 9th, 2025.

The Out-of-Town Events team says they’re taking extra time to fine-tune the line-up and make the experience even more unforgettable.

All previously bought tickets will remain valid for the new date. While it’s a let-down for diehard fans, the silver lining is that Nakuru’s nightlife isn’t missing a beat.

In place of Nax4Sary, the city’s club scene is roaring. Venues like Space Next Door, Wave XO, and Platinum 7D are lining up some of the hottest DJs and MCs in the game.

Expect to catch DJ Celestar, DJ Tibz, DJ Gibbz the Daqchild, DJ Ocheezy, Sir Silky, and MCs like Machupa, Mido, and Hype Ninja keeping the tempo high and the dancefloors packed.

Nakuru’s bringing the heat, so charge your phone, prep your outfits, and get ready to vibe.

See you out there!
