The much anticipated Tophaz experience went down yester night at Groundless Lounge. Excitement filled the air as Nakuru revellers waited with baited breath for the arrival of DJ Tophaz.

Before his arrival, the in-house DJs, Epic and Shacky did not let the party aura die. The former played all the current big hits while the latter got everyone on their feet as he played the crowd favourite, throwback Kenyan music.

The man of the hour, DJ Tophaz arrived at 11.30 p.m. His arrival was greatly celebrated, as he walked into the club with an entourage of the club security, club management and dolled up bottle girls.

Upon taking over the decks, DJ Tophaz brought the house down with his mixes that contained a wide array of music ranging from Afrobeats to old school music and even Bongo.

He surely proved that he really is the vibe master, as he had people continuously dancing and grooving from 11.30 p.m. all the way to 3 a.m.

While speaking to Mtaa Wangu, DJ Tophaz noted, “I was hoping for a bigger crowd tonight but all in all I can’t complain since the vibes were immaculate and the crowd was quite interactive."

The crowd turn up was greatly affected by his time of arrival which revellers felt was quite late with a number even leaving to go to other clubbing spots.

He however shared that he actually kept time given the time guidelines set for him by the event organizers.

When asked to choose between the Nakuru party culture and Nairobi, he joked, "Nairobi definitely has the wilder party culture but I like the energy and vibe here in Nakuru."

The Tophaz Experience was definitely one for the books. We hope that DJ Tophaz will be back in Nakuru for another fun night.
