Priest the Poet has announced the return of the ‘mass event’, a show which debuted in January this year, at Agora Milimani.

Dubbed the “2nd Mass Event”, this edition will include the main acts Priest the Poet, Lookit_Art and Connie Muziki who are the face of the event.

According to the event organizer, Richard Atambo, the second edition is set for 29th October, with action set to start from 2pm at Agora.

Mr Atambo says the second edition is expected to be grand with the budget they have.

“The stage set up is massive and our venue is expected to host up to 700 fans. Having drawn over 200 attendees at the last event. Going by our theme “we live, we learn, we grow” we hope for a more successful second edition,” he says.

Speaking about the concept behind the ‘Mass Event’, the main act, Samuel Njoroge alias Priest the Poet says “the Mass” is coined around his stage name Priest.

He says the first Mass event was an experimental show which he did to rate his reach to the Nakuru audience and his fans, adding that it was also meant to build his brand.

Surprisingly, the show had a good turnout.

He reveals that afterwards his fans were putting pressure on him to organize another event.

However, he took his time preparing the second mass so that he could give his fans an animated experience once he steps on stage again.

“The dream is to create a community of creatives and a loyal fan base in Nakuru, thus I could not rush getting on stage. The second edition is now here and with a great line up of artists who will power the stage on that day,” he says.

Commenting on events preparation, Mr Atambo says, they will conduct club appearances for performances and their famous street performances just to give their fans a taste of what will be served during the main event.

Other artists that will be gracing the stage to entertain you on that day include, poet Lucy Empress, Ogoti the Boy Child, King Filipe, Chotara the Poet, Blessed and dancer Jayden the Dope Boy.

Early bird tickets go for Sh 500 while at the gate one will have to part with Sh 1,000.
