Old school Bongo meets Kenyan hits: Aslay, Pilipili to perform

The weekend’s headline event is Old School Bongo vs Kenya coming back on its second edition. This edition features East African artists, with Tanzania’s bongo star Aslay performing on the day.

In true old-school fashion, legendary artists Nazizi and Wyre will meet their fans on stage, promising a wholesome bongo experience. Also on the lineup are Pilipili and Jimwat, adding to the nostalgic feel of the event set to take place at Rift Valley Sports Club this Saturday.

The show is expected to draw music lovers eager to relive the golden era of East African hits through energetic performances and sing-along moments. With a blend of several DJs on the deck and the artist fans are set to create memories at this event.

On it’ first edition artists Avril, Juakali, Toxic lyrikali and Matonya performed at the reunion event at the Nakuru Golf Club on November 22,2025.

For those looking for a more laid-back vibe, the Park and Chill, Source Experience Edition 4 offers the perfect alternative. Set to happen at Kunste Grounds on Saturday from 2 pm, the event blends music, sleek car culture, and social experiences into one vibrant outdoor hangout.

Meanwhile, those embracing a softer, slower pace can attend the Sip, Graze and Glaze ceramic garden party at The Alps, on Labour Day. The event features activities such as painting ceramic cups, enjoying delicious bites, sipping refreshing drinks, and soaking in a serene garden setup. With its stylish dress code and calm ambiance, it provides a perfect escape for relaxation and connection.

On Friday, May 1st, adventure lovers can join the Sleeping Warrior Hike organized by Global Fast Fit, featuring transport, snacks, photography, and guided hiking for outdoor enthusiasts.

Saturday, May 2nd brings even more excitement with cyclists meeting at Magunas for the Lake Solai Bike Ride kicking off at 7 am. A perfect plan for fitness and exploring Nakuru for those who have not toured Solai as a destination.

On the other hand, Golf fans can also dress up in green and white for the Micah Thuo Captain’s Prize Golf Tournament and Gala at Njoro Country Club, blending sport with elegance.
