As 2023 draws to a close, it has been one for the books for Nakuru's entertainment and party scene.

From celebrity and DJ performances to new club openings and world sporting events, the party scene's calendar of activities has been quite busy.

Below are highlights of some of the events that have caused a stir this year.

Celebrity and DJ performances.

One of the first big club events in Nakuru was DJ Shiski's first performance after landing in the country.
Since then, Nakuru clubs have hosted performances by exciting artists and DJs including Ndovu ni Kuu, Femi One, Daq Child, DJ Tophaz, Dj Kaytrixx, Dj Joe Mfalme, DJ Lyta, Prince Indah and Samidoh.

Walker Town concert.

The same pomp and could also be felt at the various outdoor events held in Nakuru with one of the biggest being the Walker Town Concert which was graced by Nyashinski and Okello Max and even brought Nigerian artist Joeboy to town.

World Rally Championship (WRC) and Prinsloo Rugby Tournament.

The huge success of outdoor events was further boosted by two major sporting events in the county, the World Rally Championship (WRC) and the Prinsloo Rugby Tournament, which led to after-parties not only in the clubs but also outdoors.

New clubs.

Talking about the growth of Nakuru's entertainment scene this year, Naxouse Entertainment has to be mentioned.
Naxouse has revolutionised Nakuru's entertainment industry, making a name for itself through its unique and immersive Afrohouse events.

Their most memorable events this year were Nakuru's first ever Halloween party and their Outdoor Edition event which attracted over 400 revellers.

Speaking to Mtaa Wangu, Naxouse co-director Aziz Mola says, "It's high time Nakuru had its own big festival. We plan to make it even more memorable next year by bringing in bigger DJs that will help put Nakuru on the map".

2023 has also seen the launch of Gigi Rooftop, 99 Roundz, Jade Hekima Lawn, Space Next Door and the renovation and relaunch of Culture Mambo and Platinum 7D.

What all these venues have in common at the moment is how spacious they are.

Plays and music releases.

Nakuru's creatives also had a remarkable year, with Nakuru-born artists Lexsil and Hush BK releasing new singles.
There were also stand-up comedy events, several plays at the Nakuru Players Theatre and many upgrade poetry events, the biggest being Priest the Poet's Second Mass.

Simor Music held a listening party for his new music album at Mr Shawarma, while Oeba released an explosive poem titled Dear Citizen that had impressive views.

The latest major milestone for Nakuru's party scene is Nakuru's attainment of city status, with revelers now having a wide range of spacious nightclubs to choose from in and around the CBD.
