All set for Makadem performance at Nakuru players' theatre

Charles Ademson alias Makadem his Nyatitiness is set to perform at Nakuru players' theatre on April 9, 2023.
Imagine listening to jazz from the Nyatiti strings or even your favourite genre packaged in an afro-fusion version alongside well-put instrumental tunes.
That is what Charles Ademson alias Makadem his Nyatitiness is known for.
His charisma, hype on stage, signature Nyatiti tunes and powerful vocals has set him up as a unique African artist.
Give him a kalimba or guitar to play and he will sing to its tunes. Change it with a Nyatiti, he even gets better.
We met up with Makadem while he visited Nakuru for his rehearsals ahead of his Easter Sunday performance.
“I am here to give Nakuru residents an experience of live Nyatiti jazz and for the first time I will be performing alongside the Nakuru players’ theatre Band,” he said.
The contemporary artist notes that other than just performing, he is here to interact with Nakuru musicians and share his experience in music and his journey as a performing artist since 1997.
“What I play is an African beat in a twist of the Nyatiti in a contemporary way. A touch of R&B, chakacha, dancehall, benga, rhumba among other genres played in a jazzy way,” he said.
Makadem notes that he lives off music and it is possible for musicians to live off their art as long as they package the product well.
“All musicians can excel and monetize their art. Just package yourself, the product and your music well,” he notes.
He added that as an artist, you should have a yearly content schedule for each month. That will push you beyond your limit and you can never forget to put in the time to perfect your art.
The show will be held on April 9, 2023 at the Nakuru players theatre from 2 pm onwards.
