A weekend for the girls as Nakuru plays host to ladies' fun day
Some of the Ladies fun day event participants pose for a photo after winning a dancing competition on April 5, 2025.
Nakuru is stepping into the weekend with soft energy, bold color, and a whole lot of girl power, and if you blink, you might miss the moment everyone will be talking about: Ladies Fun Day, Queens Edition.
By midday Saturday, all roads lead to Kunstе Grounds, where the real pulse of the weekend lives. The Ladies Fun Day isn’t just happening, it’s taking over.
From the moment you walk in, it will be clear: this is a space owned by women, for women. The theme is Queens Edition, and nobody is holding back.
Bright outfits, bold energy, music in the air, and laughter that carries across the grounds. Groups of friends arrive in sync, sunglasses on, confidence louder than the speakers.
Some came for the pictures, some for the drinks, but most came for that feeling, the freedom to exist fully, loudly, unapologetically.
At Agora in Milimani, the Nakuru Run Club will turn the sunrise into a shared ritual, with runners moving through the quiet streets in a rhythm of discipline and ease.
At the same time, hikers at Menengai Crater will be chasing views and small personal victories, setting a tone of intention that quietly feeds into the rest of the day.
By Sunday, Nakuru exhales.
The pace slows, and for many, the perfect reset lies in Olkaria. The geothermal spa offers warm waters and an easy escape a place to unwind, reflect, and gently close a weekend that gave a little bit of everything.
Because in the end, this isn’t just another weekend in Nakuru. It’s a balance of movement and stillness, noise and calm.
And at the center of it all, the women will show up, show out, and remind everyone what it looks like when they take up space, beautifully, boldly, and without apology.
