In Nakuru, I have observed a fascinating tapestry of love stories, each woven with threads of resilience and growth.

The 'come we stay' ethos prevails, age differences seem inconsequential and a collective journey from grass to grace is the grand narrative of the couples I was able to interview.

I have observed a prevailing theme in the love stories that grace this vibrant city. A phenomenon known as "come we stay". It's not just a choice to live together, but a profound expression of commitment that resonates with many couples.

As I walk the bustling streets, I see couples who have chosen to build their lives together without the formality of traditional marriage. The air is thick with a sense of shared journeys and intertwined destinies.

The "come we stay" echoes through the hills as many couples are seen to have a sense of unity and shared purpose, an unspoken understanding that binds them as they navigate the intricate dance of life.

What strikes me is the apparent indifference to significant age gaps; love seems to flourish regardless of the years that separate the couple. Age for most Nakuru couples seems to be just a number in the equation of love.

Here, couples display a unique kind of indifference to the ticking away of time. The notion of age difference, often a social concern elsewhere, has little meaning for these couples.

Love becomes the common language that bridges every gap, creating a tapestry of relationships where the years that separate them are mere whispers in the wind.

For the couples I have met love is the guiding force that renders age a trivial detail in the grand narrative of their relationships.

From humble beginnings, these couples have risen from the grassroots to reflect the transformation of the town itself.

Nakuru's couples embody a spirit of shared ambition, weaving dreams together and navigating the complexities of life hand in hand.

The echoes of shared struggles echo in the laughter that fills the air of Nakuru. From humble beginnings, these couples have made their way, building dreams together and overcoming obstacles hand in hand.

In Nakuru, the journey from grass to grace is not just a personal triumph, but a shared victory. It's etched in the smiles exchanged in the crowded markets and the quiet moments. Through the ups and downs, these couples embody the spirit of a town that evolves, just like their love.
