There are a number of ways to get to the lake, including public transport or, if you prefer the comfort of your own vehicle, a leisurely drive along the scenic route.

This immense body of water in Lake Solai traces its origins back to a humble swamp, a testament to the incremental triumph of small steps leading to monumental transformation.

Now, as you stand at the water's edge, the prospect of aquatic adventure beckons.
Whether you are looking for a day of family bonding, an adventure with your closest companions or simply an infusion of positive vibes, this is the place to be.

Imagine stepping onto the shores of Lake Solai, a realm of wonder unfolding before your senses.

Now, as you stand at the water's edge, the prospect of aquatic adventure beckons. This is the moment you want to get on the boat and explore what the lake has to offer. Locals with in-depth knowledge of the lake will provide you with a boating experience beyond the ordinary.

In terms of safety, your life will be safe in their experienced hands and life jackets will be provided as you board their boats. A short boat ride of about 20 minutes costs Sh300. Prices vary depending on the distance you are being taken across the lake.

As the bow of the boat cuts through the calm waters, a tableau of beauty unfolds. Flamingos take to the skies, a vibrant spectacle of flight and migration, or perhaps simply enjoying the company of their own kind.

Speaking to Mtaa Wangu, David Mwangi, chairperson of the Nakuru Tourism Association, mentions that Lake Solai is one of the lakes that attract flamingos, thereby boosting the tourism sector in Nakuru County.

The allure of Lake Solai doesn't end when the water experience is over. There is an array of cuisine to indulge in. The nurturing embrace of the lake has spawned an array of fish species, from the elusive catfish to the ubiquitous tilapia.

Local fishermen and vendors on the lake are happy to present their wares fresh from the water, offering a variety of fish delicacies, from deep-fried delights to succulent, moist offerings, served with garnishes to suit your taste.

Or, if fish is not your thing, bring your own and spread out a picnic blanket with your friends and loved ones while you play games like Jenga or Monopoly.

As the sun sets in a fiery blaze and the day comes to an end, these are moments to remember with your friends and loved ones.
