Nakuru bachelor stuck between fiancée's lifestyle and his zeal for marriage
As I discreetly lingered in the shadows of Nakuru Central Police station, I couldn’t help but eavesdrop on a conversation nearby.
The voice belonged to an unidentified man; let’s call him Mark. Mark was speaking of the challenges he currently faces with his fiancée, who has chosen a lifestyle of smoking, drinking and ‘dressing indecently’.
“My 24 year old fiancée is lost in a haze of alcohol and smoking; a life miles away from the one I had envisioned. I can no longer put up with this as much as I love her.”

Marks* voice carried the burden of frustration and deep sited sadness as he spoke of his desire for a family, a dream he said his fiancée has deferred until she reaches 28, despite being together for two years now.
“For the longest time, I have been unable to bear the internal turmoil but it got worse when I decided to have a heart to heart conversation with her, and she dismissed my concerns, saying it was nothing serious,” he bitterly expresses.
Jake*, his friend, unsure of the perfect advice, simply lent a patient ear.

Mr Mark states, “The idea of waiting until my fiancée is 28 years to start a family adds fuel to my discontent, while getting another woman will be hard for me since I love her so much.”
Frustrated and seeking advice from his friend, Mark inquires if opening up in a public space like a radio, TV or social media platform to seek insights on how to navigate this challenging solution will be of help as he is in despair.
