Quickmart has officially opened its Nakuru Statehouse Road outlet, just days after unveiling the store, marking a notable return for the retailer in the town where it all began.

‎‎Branded with the tagline “Tumerudi Home” loosely translated to “We are back home” on their social media posts the new outlet is already drawing attention from residents and passersby.

‎‎Located near Statehouse Road, the supermarket is now clearly visible as you pass by on the highway. At night the neon red color on the name shines bright which makes it easily visible.

‎‎The Statehouse Road outlet now becomes Quickmart’s second branch in Nakuru, following the Shabab outlet, which holds historical significance as the very first Quickmart supermarket.

‎‎Founded in 2006 in Nakuru by the late John Kinuthia, Quickmart has since grown into one of Kenya’s most recognizable retail chains.

‎‎With the opening of this new branch, Quickmart is expected to intensify competition with nearby supermarkets, including the Naivas Highway outlet, while also injecting fresh business activity into the neighborhood. The store, however, is yet to begin operating on a 24-hour basis.

‎‎For many in Nakuru, the opening is more than just a new shopping option, it is a symbolic homecoming for a brand that started its journey in the town.
