Several businesses near Westside Mall and opposite Generation House have sought alternative premises following the demolition of their stalls.

Notices and posters have been put up to inform customers of the new locations of these businesses.

The demolition site, currently marked by a black gate with a placard reading "Westside Mall," is relatively quiet with only one excavator in operation. The area remains closed to the public.

According to a confidential source, the land is likely to be used for expansion by the mall, although no definitive plans have been made.

"At the start, the owners will probably use the land as part of the parking for shoppers and business people at the mall," the source stated.

However, the final decision on the land's use remains undecided as the demolition continues.

Efforts by Mtaa Wangu to get a comment from the Westside Mall management have been unsuccessful.

The businesses affected by this demolition include Fruit Mart, a restaurant, an optical shop, and MPesa & General Shop.
