Gilanis Supermarket put up space selling flowers and chocolates ahead of Valentine's Day
Businesses at the city center have kicked off preparations for Valentine’s with most of them making colorful displays ahead of the D-day.
You can’t miss the red-themed items as you cross the streets of Nakuru. From wholesalers to supermarkets and even vendors along the streets and shopping malls.

Gilani’s supermarket has already set up a valentine’s sales display for their clients. Ms Janet Naliaka their marketing manager says they are doing this early to observe the seven days of love ahead of Valentine’s day.
“You know valentines is observed from February 7 all the way to February 14, the celebrations begin a week before with Rose Day, Propose Day, Chocolate Day, Teddy Day, Promise Day, Hug Day, and Kiss Day. We did our display early to allow our clients to prepare grand gestures for their partners. Our display is set to expand on a daily basis as we get close to the 14th with fresh roses being sold on the eve of Valentine's and on the day,” said Ms Naliaka.
She added that the supermarket is in talks with its partners to offer more products on subsidized prices.
The offer will extend to Gilanis restaurant which will be having a Valentine’s special menu for its clients with ice cream, chocolate, and fresh roses being part of the package.

Wa Morgan clothing shop displays red clothes ahead of Valentine's day
Regina Wangare the manager at Wa Morgan wholesalers tells us with Valentine's approaching, sales have improved though she notes the purchases are not high as compared to the previous years.
“We have stocked red-themed clothes and other stylish outfits in multiple designs and colors that suit our clients tastes and preferences, “she said.

A display of teddy bears and gifts at Naivas midtown in Nakuru city ahead of Valentine's Day
Naivas Mid town has also set up its display with teddy bears, wine, and gift cards in readiness for Valentine’s Day.
